Basic Life Support (BLS) Training

Course Introduction:  

This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to provide basic life support in emergency situations. Through a combination of theoretical understanding and hands-on practice, participants will gain confidence in responding to critical situations. 

Duration: 5 days

Course Objectives: 

1. Provide an overview of basic life support principles. 

2. Demonstrate effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques. 

3. Instruct participants on the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). 

4. Emphasize teamwork and communication during emergency response. 

Course Modules: 

Module 1: Introduction to Basic Life Support 

• Overview of the importance of BLS in emergency care. 

• Legal and ethical considerations in providing BLS. 

Module 2: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Techniques 

• Hands-on training in chest compressions and rescue breaths. 

• Understanding the ABCs (Airway, Breathing, Circulation) of BLS. 

Module 3: Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use 

• Introduction to AED devices and their role in emergency response. 

• Practical training in using AEDs. 

Module 4: Choking and Airway Management 

• Recognizing and responding to choking emergencies. 

• Techniques for maintaining an open airway. 

Module 5: Team Dynamics and Simulation Exercises 

• Importance of effective teamwork during emergency response. 

• Simulation exercises to reinforce BLS principles.
